The 2025 National T20 Cup has concluded its thrilling quarterfinals as four teams, namely Abbottabad , Multan Peshawar and Lahore Blues, have successfully secured their spots in the semifinals.

With only two matches remaining before the final, the race to secure a spot in the championship game promises to be an exciting spectacle.

Abbottabad Region delivered a dominant performance in their quarterfinal match, defeating Karachi Region by a convincing margin. Their batting lineup, led by captain Sohail Khan, posted an impressive total of 168/6 in their 20 overs, Karachi managed only 133/8 with the Abbottabad’s bowlers executing clinical death overs to seal the win.

Meanwhile, Multan Region came out on top in a nail-biting contest against Faisalabad Region. Multan’s star player, Rohail Nazir, was the highlight of the match, scoring a blistering half-century and leading his side through a tense chase. Faisalabad set a target of 155/7, Multan chased down the target in 19.3 overs.

In the third quarterfinal, Peshawar Region triumphed over Quetta Region in a spectacular display of both batting and bowling. Peshawar posted 174/6 in their innings, and Quetta fell short in their chase, finishing with 159/9 despite a valiant effort from Sarfraz Ahmed, who scored 48 runs. Shadab’s all-round brilliance was key to their victory.

Finally, Lahore Region Blues outclassed Rawalpindi Region in a high-scoring thriller. Rawalpindi posted a total of 164/7 in their 20 overs. Lahore Blues chased it down comfortably, scoring 165/2 in just 18.2 overs, with Babar Azam anchoring the chase with an unbeaten 78 runs. Their aggressive approach at the top of the order, coupled with solid contributions from the middle order, has made them one of the most dangerous teams in the competition.

The National T20 Cup’s semifinals are now set to be a battle of the titans, with each of these four teams eager to make it to the final. The semifinals will take place on March 26, 2025 In Faisalabad with Abbottabad taking on Lahore Blues, while Peshawar will square off against Multan in what promises to be an exciting clash.
