Mufti Saad highlights the sanctity of religion amidst Ramazan discussions on Aaj News
In Ramazan special transmission “Baran-e-Rehmat” on Aaj News, Mufti Saad addressed various questions from callers, shedding light on the sanctity of religion and its importance.
He emphasized that religion should not be ridiculed and that every discussion should be held in appropriate settings and contexts.
Mufti Saad referenced a Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), stating, “Speak so that you may be recognized.” He explained that it is not always suitable to speak on every matter in every setting.
Maintaining a sacred atmosphere during Ramazan broadcasts is the responsibility of both scholars and channel management. He stressed the need to treat religious matters seriously and to prioritize their respect at all times.
He reminded the audience that Allah, the Almighty, mentioned in the Holy Quran that knowledge and wisdom go hand in hand. He clarified that while ‘knowledge’ is about what to say, ‘wisdom’ pertains to when and where to say it.
Therefore, an individual who does not understand the appropriate context for a conversation can gain little from their knowledge.
Mufti Saad harshly criticized the trend of presenting religious topics lightly on social media, creating memes, and sharing frivolous solutions.
He pointed out that nowadays, anyone can say anything about religion without proper research, which is undermining the sanctity of faith.
He referenced a suggestion made on a television channel that writing “Zam Zam” on the meter with the finger used for the testimony would reduce the electricity bill.
Commenting on this, Mufti Saad advised that if one truly wants to lower their bill, they should turn off the switches where the lights and fans are running, claiming that this would certainly reduce the bill.

He further urged that when an Islamic scholar is present on a program, questions should focus on religious issues and jurisprudence rather than worldly matters such as methods to reduce electricity bills. Irrelevant questions and their unverified answers compromise the essence of religion.
In conclusion, Mufti Saad addressed all television channels, asserting that they must demonstrate responsibility in matters of religion.
He stated that Islam should not be ridiculed, as it is a complete way of life, and no allowance should be made for making the principles of Islam a joke or misrepresenting them.
Religious programs should be presented with seriousness and respect to ensure that correct and authentic information reaches the public, preserving the dignity of faith.
