PM Shehbaz orders third-party audit of ‘Ramazan Relief Package’
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a review meeting has directed a third-party audit of the Prime Minister’s Ramazan Relief Package 2025.
The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers for National Food Security, Economic Affairs, Information and Broadcasting, Information Technology and Telecom, along with Petroleum Minister, Chairman NADRA, and Chairman PTA.
While briefing the prime minister on the progress of the Ramazan Relief Package 2025, it was mentioned that 63% of the eligible recipients have received the funds so far. All the necessary documentation for the recipients who have received the funds is available.
The prime minister was also informed that a total of 2,224 employees are assigned duties related to the package. It was highlighted that over one and a half million eligible recipients have been contacted through phone calls.
Speaking during the meeting, the prime minister stated that the Ramazan Package has been introduced for the entire Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, without any discrimination.

He mentioned that the efforts of the State Bank of Pakistan, NADRA, and tech institutions to make this package transparent are commendable. He added that the funds under the relief package are being delivered to the deserving individuals through the highly convenient and transparent digital wallet system.
PM Shehbaz directed that this model be adopted for other government schemes. The prime minister also ordered the awareness campaigns run by telecom companies and banks more effective and instructed the preparation of a comprehensive report in this regard.
