In the Sindh High Court, journalist Farhan Mallick has filed a petition seeking the dismissal of a case against him under the Pakistan Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

The court has responded by issuing notices to the involved parties and has postponed the hearing until after the Eid holidays.

Mallick’s lawyer has described the case as illegal and malicious, asserting that it is an attempt to harass the journalist.

Advocate Moiz Jafri, representing Mallick, revealed that they had requested a stay order on the proceedings, which was denied.
