Special envoy Mohammad Sadiq’s visit to Kabul has yielded positive results, with both sides agreeing to convene a Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) meeting before April 15, sources reveal.

Aaj News has obtained the schedule for upcoming engagements between Pakistan and Afghanistan. According to sources, the JCC meeting will be held in Kabul, where Mohammad Sadiq will participate alongside senior civil and military officials.

The agenda focuses on boosting trade and economic cooperation, with both countries working to finalize a comprehensive action plan.

Sources indicate that the trade ministers of Pakistan and Afghanistan will hold consultations before Eid, while the Afghan Minister of Commerce is expected to visit Pakistan after the festival.

Pakistan’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq Khan visited Kabul over the weekend and met with Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in Kabul to discuss improving relations and strengthening high-level engagements.

During the meetings, Pakistani officials raised concerns about terrorist sanctuaries in Afghanistan. For the first time, sources claim, the Afghan Taliban showed some flexibility regarding the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) issue, signaling a potential shift in their stance.
