Karachi imposes two-day ban on pillion riding
** A two-day ban on pillion riding on motorcycles has been implemented in Karachi, the Commissioner reported.**
The Commissioner Hyderabad Division Bilal Ahmed Memon has banned pillion riding on motorcycles in all 9 districts of the division.
The decision came in light of security measures under Section 144, coinciding with the observance of Yaum-e-Ali.
According to a notification, the ban had been enforced under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
The notification specified that this restriction will be enforced across all three city districts and will remain in effect until March 22.
The government has urged citizens to cooperate and comply with the law and emphasised on the importance of adhering to this decision to maintain peace and order during this sensitive time.
