BCCI announces cash reward three times higher than ICC prize for Champions Trophy victory
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a massive cash reward for the Indian team following their triumph in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
BCCI will award the team Rs58 crore (approximately Rs1.88 billion) — a sum three times larger than the official ICC prize money for the tournament.
According to BCCI, the prize money will be distributed among players, coaching staff, and selection committee members who played a role in the historic victory.
Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, India remained undefeated throughout the tournament and secured their third Champions Trophy title by defeating New Zealand in the final.
