Khawaja Asif and Barrister Gohar share a light moment in Parliament
In a rare display of political cordiality, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar shared a light-hearted moment in the corridors of Parliament, exchanging a handshake and laughter.
According to details, the two leaders unexpectedly crossed paths in the Parliament hallway, leading to an informal conversation.
During their brief interaction, they exchanged pleasantries, shook hands, and shared a laugh over an undisclosed remark.
Call for unity in national interest
As journalists observed the friendly exchange, one reporter asked, “Your relations seem good for casual meetings — why not come together for the country as well?”

Smiling, Khawaja Asif responded, “Of course, it should happen. There’s no doubt about it. The traditions of the past were different.”
When pressed further, he jokingly added, “So you’re saying we shouldn’t even meet in the corridor?” — prompting more laughter.
On a more serious note, Barrister Gohar reiterated PTI’s stance on national security, stating, “We have already said there should be unity against terrorism.”
While the meeting was brief, the warm exchange stood in contrast to the usual political tensions, sparking speculation about whether it signals a potential thaw in relations.
