Not Amir, not Shaheen, not Cummins – who does Virat Kohli find the toughest bowler to face?
Virat Kohli, one of the greatest batters in modern cricket, has faced the world’s best bowlers across all formats.
Known for his aggressive stroke play and match-winning performances, Kohli was recently asked in an interview about the toughest bowler he has ever faced. His answer came as a surprise.
Rather than naming international legends like Mohammad Amir, Shaheen Shah Afridi, James Anderson, or Pat Cummins, Kohli singled out an Indian fast bowler as his most challenging opponent.
In a video released by Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kohli revealed that Jasprit Bumrah has consistently been the toughest bowler for him.

“Batting against Bumrah is always a tough challenge, whether it’s in the IPL or even during net practice,” Kohli said.
“Every delivery presents a new challenge, making it not just difficult but also an exciting experience.”
It is worth noting that Jasprit Bumrah represents Mumbai Indians in the IPL and famously claimed Kohli’s wicket in his debut IPL match.
