Renowned Pakistani scholar and television host Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away in June 2022. He was found unconscious at his residence and later pronounced dead at the hospital. In the weeks leading to his death, Aamir Liaquat faced intense mental stress following the leak of inappropriate videos involving his third wife, Dania Malik.

A video allegedly featuring Aamir Liaquat’s last words, first published by Aaj News on June 10, 2022, has resurfaced and gone viral during Ramadan. In the video, Aamir Liaquat is heard saying, “I am going to Madinah; I have received the call.”

He further remarked, “The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) does not call those who drink and do drugs so quickly—it takes some time.” Addressing his third wife, he added, “Dania, child, you did wrong.”

Aamir Liaquat also stated that he intended to perform Hajj and planned to disconnect from everyone during that period. He expressed a desire to live a life of anonymity, saying, “I have earned enough fame; now only Allah’s name should remain.”

Shortly after these statements, Aamir Liaquat was found dead in his room.

Aamir Liaquat was widely known for hosting Ramadan transmissions on private TV channels, and his final message has gained renewed attention during the holy month.

Legal action against Dania Malik

A few weeks after Aamir Liaquat’s death, his first wife, Bushra Iqbal, along with their son and daughter, filed a case against Dania Malik at the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) office in Karachi in July 2022.

In October 2022, the FIA registered a case against Dania Malik under sections 20, 21, and 24 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, accusing her of leaking explicit videos.

In December 2022, the FIA arrested Dania Malik from Lodhran, Punjab. She was later released on bail by a Karachi court.
