DIG South writes to IG for Shahzain Mari’s arrest
DIG South has written to IG Sindh, seeking assistance for the arrest of Shahzain Mari and his security guards, who are allegedly involved in the Boat Basin assault case.
The letter also recommends reaching out to Balochistan authorities for cooperation.
According to the letter, the victim filed an FIR against Shahzain Mari and his security guards on February 19.
Police have already arrested five guards named in the case, but Shahzain Mari, Ghulam Qadir, Taj Gul, and Muhammad Ali have reportedly fled to Kohlu, Balochistan.
The DIG South’s letter provides Shahzain Mari’s contact number and emphasises the need for the Balochistan police’s support in apprehending the fugitives.
Balochistan government unaware of Mari’s whereabouts
Meanwhile, the Balochistan government has denied having any information about Shahzain Mari’s presence in the province.
Chief minister Balochistan stated that he has no details on the matter but acknowledged its sensitive nature.
He assured that if Sindh authorities seek assistance, they will cooperate, adding that solid evidence is necessary for action, as Balochistan is a vast region.
