Trump confirms Pakistan’s stance on US weapons used in Afghan terrorism
In his first cabinet meeting, US President Donald Trump confirmed Pakistan’s stance that American weapons left behind in Afghanistan have been used in terrorist activities.
He acknowledged that billions of dollars worth of US military equipment had fallen into the wrong hands and insisted that efforts should be made to retrieve them.
“We must get it back,” he stated while addressing his cabinet.
During the meeting, Trump announced a series of economic and trade measures.

He confirmed that new tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada would take effect on April 2. Additionally, he hinted at imposing a 25 per cent tax on European Union imports.
In a move to generate revenue, he revealed plans to launch the sale of a $1.5 billion “Gold Card” within the next two weeks.
On Ukraine, he emphasised that the US would work to recover its financial resources while also promoting mutual investment between the US and China.
Addressing the situation in Gaza, Trump stated that the decision on how to proceed with a ceasefire would be left entirely to Israel.
His comments reinforced his administration’s stance of supporting Israel’s autonomy in handling the conflict.
During the session, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk issued a warning about the US economy, cautioning that if government expenditures were not controlled, the country could face bankruptcy.
He stressed the urgency of addressing the trillion-dollar deficit and called for swift action to curb financial losses.
Trump’s statements in his first cabinet meeting signaled a more aggressive approach toward foreign policy, trade regulations, and economic management.
His administration’s next steps are expected to focus on strengthening the US economy while asserting a firmer stance on international matters.
