Bodies of six Pakistanis killed in Libya boat tragedy to arrive in Islamabad today

Arrangements finalised for transportation to Peshawar and Parachinar

The bodies of six Pakistanis who lost their lives in the Libya boat tragedy will arrive in Islamabad today via Qatar Airways flight at 7:25am.

The bodies will then be transported to Peshawar by ambulance and further airlifted to Parachinar via helicopter.

Speaking to the media, MNA Hameed Hussain and MPA Ali Hadi Irfani confirmed that all arrangements for repatriation have been finalised.

The deceased include Musawir Hussain, Shoaib Ali, Abid Hussain, Musayeb Hussain from Parachinar, and Muhammad Ali Shah from Orakzai district.

Additionally, on February 28, another flight will bring the bodies of Haider Saqlain, Asif Ali, Ashfaq Hussain, and Nusrat Hussain from Parachinar, along with Sirajuddin from Bajaur and Anis Khan from Peshawar.

The tragedy occurred on February 5 when a boat carrying migrants from Libya to Italy capsized, resulting in the deaths of 26 Pakistanis.

Sixteen bodies have been identified so far, while ten individuals remain missing.
