Gold prices fall in Pakistan, yet remain too expensive

Gold prices per tola fell by Rs800 in Pakistan, in line with their decline in the international rates.

In the local markets, decrease of Rs686 for 10 grams seen.

The price of 10 grams of gold dropped to Rs264,660 while a tola was priced at Rs308,300, according to the All Pakistan Jewelers Manufacturers Association.

In the global market, gold prices have also seen a decline, with the price per ounce falling by $8 to reach $2,940.
