AI video of Trump ‘kissing Musk’s feet’ played at HUD building screening
The video of US President Donald Trump’s AI-generated video “kissing businessman Elon Musk’s feet,” titled “Long Live the Real King,” played at the Housing and Urban Development building in Washington DC.
The video referenced Trump’s recent Truth Social post on Monday where he declared, “Long Live the King!”.
Social media buzzed with reactions, as many users discussed whether “this was a sophisticated hack or a deliberate stunt.”
It is still uncertain who is behind the incident, whether hackers or another group. In the meantime, the internet was flooded with images and videos related to the event.
An X user posted the video with the caption, “WOW! This actually just happened! The monitors were hacked at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to display an AI video of Trump licking Elon Musk’s toes. The caption over it read, LONG LIVE THE REAL KING.”
In a statement to The Hill, Housing and Urban Development spokesperson Kasey Lovett said: “Another waste of taxpayer dollars and resources. Appropriate action will be taken for all involved.”
After 6pm EST, HUD Secretary Scott Turner’s press office said in a statement to Forbes that the monitors at HUD were “showcasing the wins of the Trump administration, including action to lower the cost and expand the supply of affordable housing,”

Over the weekend, Musk sparked controversy and confusion by posting on X that government employees should reply to a mass email detailing five accomplishments from the past week, warning that not responding would be viewed as a resignation.
