Mahmood Khan Achakzai: Pakistan trapped in crisis due to wrong leadership
Pakistan is facing a deep crisis due to being governed by the wrong leadership, said Mahmood Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ayeen Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club alongside leaders of Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ayeen Pakistan, Achakzai stated that Pakistan, once a developing nation, has been pushed into turmoil due to poor governance.
He emphasised that only strict adherence to the Constitution can steer the country towards progress.
“It is better late than never. We have all united on one platform. Until the supremacy of the Constitution is established, this country cannot function properly,” he said.

Salman Akram Raja slams the PECA Act
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s central leader, Salman Akram Raja, also addressed the press conference, stressing the need for constitutional supremacy in the country. He stated that the public is currently confused but must stand for their rights.
“We do not believe in appeasement. The entire journalist community has been strangled. Every citizen of Pakistan has been silenced,” he said.
Condemning the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), he described it as a severe violation of fundamental rights.
“PECA is the worst example of making a basic right a criminal offence,” he asserted, vowing to resist any curbs on freedom of expression.
