Netanyahu vows to eliminate Hamas’ military capabilities
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reaffirmed his commitment to completely dismantling Hamas’ military capabilities.
Speaking at a joint press conference in occupied Jerusalem with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Netanyahu emphasised his administration’s determination to secure Israel’s interests.
“President Trump is a great friend of Israel. We are working together with full cooperation and strategic planning,” Netanyahu stated.

Secretary Rubio echoed Netanyahu’s stance, stating that Hamas cannot continue as a military force.
“The group must be dismantled entirely,” he asserted.
He further highlighted that US and Israeli objectives in Lebanon are aligned, emphasising the need for a strong Lebanese government to counter and disarm Hezbollah.
“Iran is responsible for destabilising Syria and fueling violence in the occupied West Bank,” Rubio said, adding that the US would not allow Tehran to become a nuclear power.
Rubio’s visit marks the beginning of a six-day Middle East tour, starting in Israel before heading to the UAE and Saudi Arabia for high-level discussions.
