Six pilgrims dead, 10 injured in Nawabshah van crash
A tragic accident involving a van carrying pilgrims to Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine resulted in the deaths of six people and injuries to ten others in Nawabshah, Sindh.
According to police, the pilgrims arrived by train from Boriwala, Punjab, and were traveling by van to attend the annual Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan.
The accident occurred when the van collided with a trailer while attempting to overtake due to excessive speed on Amri-Qazi Ahmed Bridge Byepass Road.
The deceased include Azeem Ali, Zafar Ali, Sheikh Dildar Jatoi, Babar Ali, Latif Ali, and Maharaj Ahmed.
Rescue personnel have transferred the bodies of the deceased and the injured to the hospital.
An investigation has been initiated by the police to determine the causes of the accident.
