No factionalism in MQM-P, says Dr Farooq Sattar
Senior MQM-Pakistan leader Dr Farooq Sattar has dismissed claims of internal divisions within the party, emphasising that all decisions should be made through mutual consultation.
Speaking on Aaj TV’s programme “Das” with host Imran Sultan, he stated that both he and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori are committed to unity within the party, as no one can survive in isolation.
“There is no factionalism in MQM-Pakistan. Consultation should be our primary tool, and we must remain united,” Sattar asserted, crediting Tessori for playing a crucial role in party mergers.
Rejecting speculations about Mustafa Kamal being appointed as Sindh’s next governor or Tessori shifting to parliamentary politics, Sattar called these rumours nothing more than “social media mischief.”

He also addressed party disagreements, stating that mechanisms exist to resolve them internally. He supported Mustafa Kamal’s recent remarks about Mohajir Qaumi Movement leader Afaq Ahmed, saying they were appropriate and reflected the party’s stance.
Dr Sattar further revealed that he had repeatedly invited Jamaat-e-Islami’s Hafiz Naeemur Rehman and PTI Karachi leaders to join forces against the PPP.
“We must unite to address Karachi’s issues and launch a collective struggle against the ruling party,” he urged.
