A police officialin uniform was apprehended in Manawan, Lahore, while allegedly assaulting a female beggar. Following his arrest, the officer reportedly fired upon a civilian who intervened, resulting in the civilian’s injury.

According to sources, local residents apprehended the officer and handed him over to the Manawan police station. The injured civilian, identified as Sajid, was transported to a hospital for treatment.

A mobile phone recorded video of the incident has surfaced online, showing the police officer engaging in inappropriate behavior with the woman and subsequently firing his weapon.

Police have identified the accused officer as Amjad, stationed at Shafiqabad Police Station. Authorities have registered a case and launched a further investigation into the incident.
