GTA addresses years-old issue in February 7 update
Rockstar Games has quietly released another background update for GTA Online, addressing several persistent glitches that have plagued players for years.
The update, delivered without a large download, focuses on fixing bugs unrelated to the recent “Agents of Sabotage” DLC. Key fixes include resolving an issue where character Vernon would fail to enter his vehicle during a specific mission (“South Central Leak – Investigation: Davis”), a problem that had persisted for several years.
The update also addresses a glitch preventing players from claiming the Ocelot Virtue reward and fixes the disappearance of LS Tags posters after being sprayed.
Additionally, the update prevents players from exploiting cooldown timers by calling mission contacts while inside properties. Reliable community insider Tez2 provided details on the patch, highlighting these changes.
While some players celebrate the long-awaited fixes, others express disappointment over the patching of a Salvage Yard glitch that allowed for exploiting the game’s mechanics. The update comes alongside a new GTA Online Event Week focused on Drift Races.
