Muhammad Qasim, Deputy Superintendent of Quetta Jail, was killed in a shooting on Jail Road in Quetta, Balochistan, police confirmed.

Unknown assailants opened fire on his vehicle, resulting in his immediate death.

Police reported that Qasim’s body has been transported to a hospital. The assailants fled the scene following the attack.

A police cordon has been established in the area, and a search for the perpetrators is underway.
