Karachi traders alarmed after body of businessman found from Sea View
The body of Asif Kamal, a Karachi businessman, has been recovered from the sea near Sea View beach. Kamal, who had been missing since January 29th, was found with stones tied to his body.
According to police sources, Kamal was reported missing after leaving his home to visit the mobile phone market in Landhi. His family filed a missing person’s report, prompting a city-wide search.
A fisherman discovered the body this morning near the area of Two Rivers. While the body appears to be two to three days old, a post-mortem examination will determine the exact cause of death and time of death.
The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has launched an investigation into Kamal’s death, exploring various possible motives.
The discovery has caused widespread concern and anxiety among Karachi’s business community. Muhammad Munaj Gulfaam, President of the Mobile and Electronics Dealers Association, strongly condemned the incident and expressed the community’s grief and anger.
He urged the Sindh Chief Minister, Interior Minister, Inspector General of Sindh Police, and other investigative agencies to swiftly investigate the murder and apprehend the perpetrators.
Business leaders have emphasized the need for immediate action to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety of workers in the mobile phone market.
