White House correspondent Natalie Winters defends fashion choices amid controversy
Natalie Winters, the White House correspondent for Steve Bannon’s ‘War Room: Battleground’ digital media outlet, has defended her fashion choices amid controversy over her dress for news coverage.
“I would highly suggest you don’t go to war with me,” she said in response to critics and a Daily Mail article highlighting the backlash over her outfits
Winters’ comments have resonated with her supporters, who believe she is being targeted for her conservative views rather than her journalistic work.
The 23-year-old broadcast journalist has recently stirred controversy. Her reporting from Washington, DC, leading up to President Trump’s inauguration on January 20, has been a focal point of discussion.
On her first day in the White House briefing room, Winters donned a form-fitting dress and high heels. Images of her attire quickly went viral, raising questions about its appropriateness for a White House press briefing.
While taking to Instagram, Winters shared a photo of herself, proudly declaring, “Officially a White House correspondent.”
In the image, she wore a black top over a white collared shirt, paired with a short white leather skirt featuring a chevron design.
