Squid Game season 2 achieves 4.6b viewing minutes in its first week: report
In its first full week of availability for Season 2, Squid Game garnered 4.6 billion minutes of viewing time on Netflix from December 30 to January 5, according to Nielsen.
Nielsen noted that Season 2 contributed to 80% of that total.
This drama is the first to achieve this since “Wednesday” premiered in 2022.
Virgin River surpassed 1.39 billion, holding second place for its third week since the Season 6 premiere on December 19 and Landman garnered 1.3 billion minutes viewed during the week.

Netflix’s Missing You also crossed the 1 billion mark in viewing minutes, finding particular popularity among the 35-64 age group.
Prime Video’s Beast Games entered the streaming originals Top 10 with 398 million viewing minutes, while Apple’s Silo reached 417 million.
