‘Pushpa 2’ continues to break records at Indian box office
Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, has remained a box office sensation even eight weeks after its release, Indian media reports said.
The action drama has shattered multiple records, and recent figures show a remarkable resurgence in its box office earnings.
On its 52nd day, the sequel to Pushpa garnered an additional 0.50 crore Indian rupees, bringing its total domestic earnings to an impressive 1,231.35 crore Indian rupees. Despite the release of various other films in recent weeks, the Pan India movie has maintained a strong presence in theatres.
The film’s net domestic collection stood at 1,231.35 crore Indian rupees, with a gross collection in India reaching 1,467.2 crore Indian rupees, according to Sacnilk. When considering international markets, Pushpa 2 has accumulated a staggering 1,737.85 crore Indian rupees worldwide.
Many fans believe the release of Pushpa 2 Reloaded has contributed to the film’s overall business.

They have compared the movie’s business with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Dangal. The Aamir Khan-starrer sports drama collected around 2,200 crore Indian rupees, becoming the country’s highest-grosser movie.
The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 has achieved an occupancy rate of 17.97%, with Hyderabad recording the highest occupancy at 35.33% from just eight shows, The Indian Express said. Pune followed closely with an occupancy rate of 32.75% across 85 shows, while Mumbai’s overall occupancy stood at 22.75% from 50 shows. The movie continues to run in over 300 theatres nationwide.
Directed by Sukumar, the action movie hit theatres on December 5, 2024, and features Fahadh Faasil in a significant role. Filmmakers have officially announced a third part of the franchise. Reports indicate that Vijay Deverakonda is set to join the cast in the upcoming chapter.
