Camila Cabello’s performance photos in ‘near-empty’ arena goes viral
American singer Camila Cabello sparked a social media frenzy after photos emerged of her performing to a “nearly empty” venue in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday.
An insider told Page Six that the show was not a public concert but rather a “corporate event,” with only a small number of tickets available for general sale. Cabello headlined the performance, which featured Myles Smith and Knox as opening acts.
One social media user harshly described the show as “empty,” calling Cabello a “flop” in a tweet.
“Why do some singers do this? If you know you can’t sell arenas, why do them? Isn’t it just extra costs for no reason and embarrassment?” another wrote.
“She just gained my respect by still performing. That show meant the world to the people in the crowd that night. EMPTY SHOWS ARE STILL SHOWS,” a user defended Cabello.
After the event, Cabello took to Instagram to express gratitude for her supporters.
“Being a fan is a transformative and creative and sacred endeavor,” she wrote in a heartfelt post. “And the artist who gives to their community also gets, in the form of love, inspiration, and trust.”
She said: “I’m honored to be that for you. It’s one of the sweetest relationships I’ve known. I have fans who are more loving, loyal, and ride or die than people in my real life.”
