Police arrest driver for shooting at school bus in Lahore
The police have arrested a car driver who opened fire on a private school bus near Bedian Road, Lahore, this morning.
Fortunately, no students were on board at the time of the incident.
The incident reportedly occurred when the driver failed to give way in traffic, leading him to stop his vehicle and fire two shots at the bus.
Police officials stated that the confrontation arose while driving, and efforts are underway to trace the driver. Further details will emerge once the investigation is completed.
Later, the police apprehended the suspect, identified as Zulqarnain, specifically for firing at the bus’s tires. Authorities seized both the weapon and the vehicle involved in the incident.
A special team was established under the directive of SP Cantt to ensure the suspect’s capture. SP Cantt Awais Shafique confirmed that a pistol and ammunition were recovered from Zulqarnain during the arrest.
