The ceremony, marking its 30th anniversary, will now take place in February, with an official date to be confirmed in the coming days. It is still slated to be held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

The awards will be broadcast live on E!, with the ceremony available for streaming the following day on Peacock, ensuring both domestic and international audiences can participate.

Hollywood actress and comedian Chelsea Handler will host the event, which aims to strike a balance between celebration and respect for the community during this challenging time.

The Critics Choice Awards are among several Hollywood events disrupted by the wildfires that ignited on January 7. The fires have ravaged significant areas of Los Angeles County, destroying thousands of structures and leading to mass evacuations affecting nearly 200,000 residents.
