Chilly winds in Karachi as PMD forecasts severe cold in mountainous regions
The people of Karachi experienced chilly winds on Tuesday night and Wednesday as the cold weather intensified across the country.
Strong winds are expected to blow through the city during the day, the Met Office said. The humidity level in the air was recorded at 71 per cent in the morning.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has urged residents to dress warmly and stay updated with the latest weather forecasts as the chilly conditions persist.
In its daily update, the PMD forecasts that most parts of the country are expected to experience cold and dry weather while mountainous regions may face severe cold during the morning and night hours.
In Punjab’s various districts and upper Sindh, moderate to dense fog is anticipated during the early morning and evening hours. In the northern areas, there is a possibility of mist forming in certain locations during the morning.
