Netflix’s The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan set to premiere on Feb 7

Documentary will revisit historic first-ever one day international match

Netflix is set to unveil its highly anticipated documentary series, The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan, on February 7, 2025.

The series aims to explore “the drama, passion and high-stakes intensity of this rivalry on the home soil of both nations,” the press release said.

“This documentary not only delves into a thrilling saga of sport and history but also fuels the rising excitement to see what chapter unfolds next, making it as relevant today as it is timeless… The series goes beyond the pitch, uncovering the personal stories, cultural undertones, and raw emotions that fuel one of the greatest rivalries in the world,” the makers said.

Netflix India took to their Instagram, captioning, “Two nations. One epic rivalry. 1.6 billion prayers. Come witness the thrill of a legacy like no other in The Greatest Rivalry: India vs. Pakistan, arriving on 7th February, only on Netflix.”

Featuring cricketing legends such as Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar, Waqar Younis, Javed Miandad, Ravichandran Ashwin, Inzamamul Haq and Shoaib Akhtar, the series offers personal anecdotes and insights that illuminate the fierce competition between India and Pakistan.

The documentary will revisit the historic first-ever One Day International (ODI) match, revealing untold stories from the early days of this iconic rivalry.
