Karachi inter board scurtiny fee reduced by 50%

The committee's mandate is to thoroughly investigate the results

Long queues have formed at the Karachi Inter Board (Inter Board) as students rush to submit scrutiny forms following concerns over the recently released intermediate part-1 results for 2024. To ease the burden, the scrutiny fee has been reduced by 50%, now costing Rs500 per paper.

Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, the newly appointed chairman of the Higher Secondary Education Board Karachi, announced the formation of an inquiry committee to investigate student complaints regarding the results. Shah assumed his post on Friday, January 3rd, and immediately met with the Secretary of the Universities and Boards Department, Muhammad Abbas Baloch, to address these concerns.

The committee’s mandate is to thoroughly investigate the results, ensure transparency, and restore student confidence. It is expected to complete its inquiry and address student complaints within one month.

Chairman Shah emphasized the importance of students’ concerns, stating that they are the priority and future of the nation. He assured that the committee will work impartially to improve the examination process and ensure greater transparency in paper checking and result preparation.

He urged students and parents to directly submit their concerns and suggestions to the Inter Board for the committee’s review. Students dissatisfied with their results are also advised to promptly submit their scrutiny forms at the bank booth located in the board office.
