PCB makes major decision for Saim Ayub’s injury treatment
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has personally contacted star cricketer Saim Ayub following his injury and has arranged for immediate treatment in London.
After consulting with doctors, the board decided to send Ayub to London for specialised care.
In a statement, PCB Chairman Naqvi expressed his well wishes for Ayub’s recovery and spoke directly with the cricketer to ascertain his condition. He confirmed that Ayub will be examined by specialist sports orthopedics doctors in London.
Naqvi emphasised Ayub’s importance to Pakistan cricket, describing him as a “stylish and exceptional batsman.”
Ayub will be flown from Cape Town to London on the first available flight, accompanied by assistant coach, Azhar Mahmood. Naqvi expressed deep concern over Ayub’s injury and stated that he will receive treatment at one of the world’s best hospitals, with the PCB providing all necessary resources for his recovery.
The hope is that Ayub will be fully recovered before the Champions Trophy. An appointment with leading sports orthopedics doctors in London has already been scheduled. Dr Mumraiz in Pakistan is overseeing Ayub’s case and has already forwarded all medical reports to London.
