Will Steve Smith, Kane Williamson play Pakistan Super League 10?
Australian batter Steve Smith and former New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson are expected to miss the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, reports said.
Registration for foreign players in the PSL is under way, with Friday being the final day for registration.
Both Smith and Williamson have declined to participate in the PSL due to “personal and private commitments,” despite the PSL technical committee reaching out to them.
The Pakistan Cricket Board is set to announce the names of three additional foreign players. Notable cricketers such as David Warner, Daryl Mitchell, Tim Southee, Jason Holder, and Alex Hales have already registered.
The preliminary list includes Warner, Sean Abbott, Steven Smith, Mustafizur Rahman, Daryl Mitchell, Kane Williamson, Chris Woakes, Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Tom Curran, and Tom Kohler-Cadmore in the platinum category. Shakib Al Hasan, Kusal Mendis, and David Willey are in the diamond category, while Usman Khawaja and Leory Evans are in gold. Mohammad Nabi and Tanveer Sangha are also included in the diamond category.
