Barrister Saif, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government’s information advisor and head of the government’s Jirga committee, has confirmed the signing of a peace agreement in Kurram district.

He stated that this agreement marks the beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity in the region.

Speaking to the media, Barrister Saif explained that both parties involved have now signed the agreement. While one party signed several days ago, the second party finalized the signing today.

The agreement includes the demolition of bunkers and the surrender of heavy weaponry, points on which both sides have reached a consensus. Barrister Saif congratulated the residents of Kurram on this achievement.

He further asserted that the peace agreement will usher in a new era of peace and prosperity for Kurram, and that normal life will soon be fully restored following the signing of the agreement.
