Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched a project under the ‘Kissan package’ to convert fuel or electricity-powered tube wells to solar energy. This initiative aims to convert 8,000 tube wells and has a budget of Rs9 billion.

Eligibility:

• Farmers whose names are registered in the land registry.
• Tube wells installed before October 30, 2024.

December 31, 2024.

Subsidies Offered:

The Punjab government will provide subsidies:

• 500,000 rupees for 10 kW capacity.
• 750,000 rupees for 15 kW capacity.
• 1,000,000 rupees for 20 kW capacity.
