Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has responded to speculation regarding a significant underground bunker at his Hawaiian property.

Reports surfaced last year claiming that Zuckerberg was constructing a massive 5,000-square-foot bunker beneath his Kauai estate, known as Koolau Ranch, which spans approximately 1,400 acres and is valued at around $100 million.

The bunker is said to feature its own energy and food supplies, connected to two mansions on the property via a tunnel. It reportedly includes space for mechanical equipment, living quarters, and an escape hatch, with a door designed similar to those found in bomb shelters.

In light of the concerns raised by locals about the purpose of this structure, Zuckerberg clarified in a recent interview that it is merely a “little shelter” intended for hurricane protection, downplaying its significance.

“I think it got blown out of proportion,” he stated, emphasizing that the ranch is primarily focused on ranching and producing high-quality beef.
