No shortage of medicines in KP’s Kurram, claims adviser to CM
Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister for Information Muhammad Ali Saif has clarified that there was “no shortage” of medicines in the Kurram district and all emergency medicines provided to Parachinar hospitals.
Medical and life-saving medicines were also dispatched in the district, he told reporters and added that negotiation of grand tribal jirga on the Kurram situation was in progress in Kohat and hopefully, the problem would be addressed in the next few days.
The KP government was committed to providing all modern facilities to the public sector hospitals in the province, he said. “Dismantling of bunkers and handing over of heavy weapons to government authorities are necessary for lasting peace in Kurram.”
The CM’s aide sought the cooperation of tribal elders and the district’s “maliks” in persuading warring tribes to hand over heavy weapons and rocket launchers besides vacation of bunkers.
“The government would not allow further unrest in the Kurram and strict action would be taken against violators.”
