Pakistan’s T20I cricket team has equalled Rwanda’s record by losing 16 out of 27 matches in 2024, data shows. The development places both teams in equal standing in the international T20 rankings.

According to the International Cricket Council, Pakistan participated in 27 T20 matches, suffering defeats in 16 while achieving victory in 11. In comparison, Rwanda played 24 matches, losing 16 and winning eight.

Following Pakistan and Rwanda, Bhutan and Indonesia have also struggled in the T20 format. Bhutan played 19 matches, suffering defeats in 15 and securing four victories. Similarly, Indonesia, like Pakistan, played 27 matches, losing 15 and winning 12.

The ICC chart showed that Pakistan’s win percentage in T20 matches is even lower than that of Indonesia. Such statistics raise questions about the performance of Pakistan’s T20 team, which has exhibited inconsistent results throughout the year.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan won the T20 World Cup in 2009. Several fans have been criticising the bowling and batting departments of the team.
