Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in certain areas of Karachi.

In a statement, the outage will last for eight hours, affecting the Peoples Chowrangi area on December 14, due to the relocation of a 12-inch-diameter high-pressure gas pipeline related to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

“During the replacement work, the gas supply will be shut off from 10:00pm on December 14 till 6:00am on December 15”, it said.

This suspension will impact major facilities, including Agha Khan Hospital, Liaquat National Hospital, and Saylani Welfare Trust.

However, gas supply to nearby households is already restricted due to profiling measures.
