The United Arab Emirates has implemented stricter visa regulations, resulting in a significant increase in visa rejection rates for Indian travelers.

According to Atlys, a visa processing platform, rejections for Dubai visas have surged by 62% since the new rules were introduced, which aim to combat fraudulent applications.

These changes have particularly affected Indian applicants, leading to closer scrutiny of visa submissions.

The rise in rejections is attributed to an influx of immigrants and laborers, which has caused overcrowding in Dubai.

In response, the Dubai government is focusing on improving the experience for high-spending tourists while cracking down on illegal overstays.

Atlys has reported that visa processing times have also lengthened, taking an additional 1.5 to 2.7 days compared to previous periods.

Currently, 5-6 out of every 100 applications are being rejected daily, a sharp increase from the 1-2% rate before the new regulations.

A staggering 71% of visa rejections are due to incomplete or incorrect documentation.

Common issues include failure to meet stability criteria, unclear passport photos, and missing proof of return flights or hotel bookings.

To avoid delays or denials, it is crucial for applicants to ensure their documentation is accurate and compliant.
