Lahore is set to unveil its first floating restaurant, a unique initiative announced by the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA).

The restaurant will be situated near Harbanspura along the canal and is expected to become a major attraction for both locals and tourists.

With an estimated budget of Rs 350 million, the project will offer various amenities, including seating areas, children’s play zones, and recreational facilities, providing a distinctive dining experience.

According to the PHA, three companies have already been pre-qualified for the construction, and the project is anticipated to be completed soon.

In related news, Punjab Transport Minister Bilal Akbar has introduced the “Pink Buses,” which will operate exclusively for women across 16 routes in Lahore.

This initiative, part of a broader plan to deploy a total of 300 buses throughout the city, aims to enhance transportation options for women.

Additionally, Akbar announced plans to expand the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system to other cities, including Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Multan, with 5,000 to 6,000 buses slated for each divisional headquarters.
