Seven Baby Lions Arrive at Lahore Safari Zoo! - Aaj News

The Lahore Safari Zoo has seen an increase in its lion population, growing from 22 to 29 after the arrival of seven new cubs.

The new arrivals are healthy and are receiving excellent care, according to zoo officials. The group includes three males and four females.

In Safari Park, they added three lionesses have given birth to a total of seven cubs; one lioness had three cubs while the other two each had two cubs. Among the new cubs, two are white.

With the lion population now totalling 29, the zoo comprises four males, 11 females, and 14 cubs, creating a vibrant atmosphere that continues to attract crowds.

The Lahore Safari Park was awarded to a private company for management in October this year. The Punjab Wildlife Department awarded a contract worth Rs135 million to it. But the department continues to oversee the care and breeding of the wildlife, including animals and birds.

Under the agreement, the private company manages key operations such as parking, entry tickets, aquarium maintenance, electric vehicles and lion safari vehicles.
