Educational institutions will remain closed in Islamabad for third consecutive day
All educational institutions would remain closed in Islamabad for the third consecutive day on Wednesday (tomorrow), the capital city administration said on Tuesday as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters marched to the D-Chowk.
The decision was taken given the security situation in the federal capital.
The decision would be applicable to private and government educational institutions in the federal capital.
Hundreds of supporters of PTI started marching to Islamabad on Sunday from different cities for former prime minister Imran Khan’s release.
The central convoy led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi were near the iconic public square.

Last month, the government also shut down educational institutions when the country hosted a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in Islamabad on October 15 and 16.
The federal government has called in additional security troops to assist the capital city administration in maintaining order during the protest.
