There were reports from different cities as leaders lead convoys

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters marched to Islamabad on Sunday for former prime minister Imran Khan’s release amid the Islamabad lockdown.

Highways leading to Islamabad, where PTI supporters are expected to gather near the parliament, have been sealed off. The government has restricted access to most major roads in the city, deploying shipping containers and significant numbers of police and paramilitary forces in riot gear. Mobile phone services have also been suspended.

The Islamabad police announced that all forms of gatherings are prohibited under legal provisions.

Global internet watchdog NetBlocks reported on X, formerly Twitter, that live metrics indicate restrictions on WhatsApp messaging services have been implemented ahead of the anticipated protests.
