Mufti Shah Mir, the headmaster of the Jamia-al-Towheed madrasa in Turbat, Balochistan, survived an assassination attempt on Wednesday.

Mir came under fire by unknown assailants on in Turbat Wednesday.

While Mufti Shah Mir escaped unharmed, three students were injured by gunfire during the attack and have been transported to a hospital for treatment.

Mir had received numerous threats from a banned organization prior to the incident.
