A chaotic scene unfolded outside a courthouse in Depalpur today when a family attacked a couple who had arrived to register their love marriage.

According to police, the altercation began when the girl’s family attempted to take her away.

A fight erupted between the families, turning the courthouse grounds into a battleground. The husband, identified as Aazan, fired shots into the air in self-defense. Police responded swiftly, arresting Aazan and recovering the weapon.

Footage obtained by Aaj News shows both sides engaged in a violent brawl. Police reports indicate that the girl’s family had filed a kidnapping case against Aazan several days prior.

DPO Okara, Rashid Hayat, condemned the violence, stating, “No one is allowed to take the law into their own hands. Strict action will be taken against the accused.” The investigation is ongoing.
