The growing and aggressive monkey population has long been a challenge for local residents, prompting authorities to construct special enclosures to manage the primates.

On Saturday, a large group of monkeys broke free and descended on the police station, prompting police captain Somchai Seedee to take precautionary measures by securing doors and windows to prevent the animals from entering and potentially damaging property or police documents.

To address the chaos, traffic officers and police on guard duty were called in to control the situation.
