Gold prices skyrocket in Pakistan
The price of 24-karat gold soared by Rs2,500, reaching Rs269,900 per tola on Monday, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association. This marks a notable increase from the previous price of Rs267,400.
In addition, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs2,144, now standing at Rs231,396, up from Rs229,252. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold also saw a rise, reaching Rs212,113 from Rs210,148.
Silver prices remained stable, with per tola silver priced at Rs3,250 and 10 grams at Rs2,786.
On the global front, gold prices rose by $25 to $2,587, up from $2,562, further fueling the local market’s surge.
