Punjab told to change motorcycles to battery power
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the Punjab government to transition motorcycles from petrol to battery-powered electric vehicles.
The order was issued in a written judgment following a hearing on the smog mitigation case.
Justice Shahid Karim remarked on the need for a policy addressing small and medium-sized public transport in Lahore.
He further instructed strict monitoring of motorcycles within the city, emphasizing that serious implementation of the smog policy would yield positive results.
The court adjourned the case until November 20th.
